The Eighth Doctor: Paul McGann Recently the FOX Network ran the Doctor Who movie "An Enemy Within". This was the big event for rabid Whovians as fans across the country both wondered and dreaded of what the results of this endeavor would be. * Over its three decade reign, the Doctor Who series had developed a very powerful spirit about itself. Many worried that this movie would destroy that spirit. The movie was very good, with an epic setting and an engaging story line. Many of the traditional cliche of modern movie making were present, the highway chase scene; the violent clashes, etc. Yet, the Doctor Who movie managed to keep these to a minimum, and instead focused more on its plot. (A note to British Whovians who thought the movie stank: Be aware that the BBC edited out a number of "inappropriate" scenes all throughout the movie. Though short, these scenes are vital in the story line. So, without them, the movie really would have stunk.) The question is still being asked on whether this movie will lead into the series being restarted. Alas, highly unlikely.

Mr. McGann was 37 years old at the making of the motion picture having been born November 14, 1959.
