This is music from the movie, Deliverance (1972).
It was a four star movie with Jon Voight, Burt Reynolds, Ned Beatty, and
Ron Cox. James Dickey's novel has been excitingly brought to the screen by
director John Boorman. Four Businessmen--Voight, Reynolds, Beatty and Cox--set
out on a canoe trip down a wild Georgia river and look forward to nothing more
hazardous than riding the rapids, but their adventure becomes a nightmare. They
encounter two demented hillbillies, one of whom physically violates Beatty, and
the nature trek turns into a struggle laced with killing. Superbly acted by the
entire cast, particularly Voight as the sensitive man who finds he wants to .
release his primitive instincts when his own life is at stake. (109 minutes.)
