Aérospatiale/BAC Concorde.

British and French companies worked together to make the Concorde This super sonic transport (SST) has a "droop snoot" and the same shaped wing as the USSR-built Tupolev. It is called a delta wing. The engines, enclosed in tubes, are mounted in pairs under each wing.

The Concorde can carry 144 passengers and a crew of three. SSTs do not carry as many passengers as the big jet liners, but they fly more than twice as fast.

The Concorde was mad by British Aircraft Corportation, Ltd.; Aerospatiale (SNIAS); Rolls-Royce Ltd., Bristol Engine Division; Société Nationale d'Etude et de Construction de Moteurs d'Aviation.

On Tuesday, July 25, 2000, an Air France Concorde carrying German tourists to a five-star cruise crashed in a ball of fire after take-off from Paris, killing 109 people on board and four more on the ground. The disaster was the first crash in almost 30 years of service for the sleek supersonic Anglo-French airliner which revolutionized transatlantic travel for the wealthy.

I trust it will offer you the same fun and companionship that IRBFlying once had on the GT Power Network.
