Walt Disney broke new cinematic ground in 1937 with his first full-length cartoon feature, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The dubbed-in singing voice of the heroine belonged to Adriana Caselotti, who first sang the touching
expectant "Some Day My Prince Will Come." Despite the fact that the song had been introduced in this fairy-tale atmosphere and was a waltz, it became a standard among jazz musicians, including Dave Brubeck, Miles Davis and Bill Evans.

As an aside: The Ol'Kunnel was in an orphan's home in 1938; when he and the other children were treated to this motion picture at the Ambassador Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri. The young and impressionable Kunnel was so taken by Snow
White that he dreamed of her and, indeed, she was his Dream Princess for many years. In fact, it was in 1964 that he realized who she was and she has never returned to his dreams since. (sigh)
