The White Cliffs Of Dover

Although the Ol'Kunnel doesn't have the complete information on this fine song, he couldn't resist placing what he has in the Jukebox for your enjoyment, too. (I do remember Margaret Whiting doing this number with great success, though.) The following recently received E-mail was his prime mover. (grin)
"Thanks for getting back to me so soon. I'm glad to hear that you may be able to help with songs not listed on your website. The one I'm thinking of is "White Cliffs of Dover". Once again, I'm absolutely thrilled with your website! I love those old songs and would like to sing them for the older folks in the old age homes and manors as we refer to them as. Your website has helped me greatly. Thanks again."

There'll be blue birds over
The white cliffs of Dover,
Tomorrow, just you wait and see.
There'll be love and laughter
And peace ever after
Tomorrow, when the world is free.
The shepherd will tend his sheep,
The valley will bloom again
And Jimmy will go to sleep,
In his own little room again.
There'll be blue birds over
The white cliffs of Dover,
Tomorrow, just you wait and see.
The Ol'Kunnel just today received E-mail on this rendition that he places here for your appreciation...
Here are the two verses to "White Cliffs of Dover", although the music is different than the chorus. I'm not sure if you have those particular notes.
I'll never forget the people I met
Braving those angry skies
I remember well as the shadows fell
The light of hope in their eyes
And tho' I'm far away
I still can hear them say,
"Thumbs up!"
For when the dawn comes up....
Chorus
There'll be Bluebirds over......
2nd verse
When night shadows fall
I always recall
Out there across the sea
Twilight falling down on a little town
It's fresh in my memory
I hear a mother pray and to her baby say,
"Don't cry" This is her lullaby...
Chorus
